Bright Burnishing Tools’ Internal Bore Roller Burnishing Tools are used for achieving very low surface finishes (say less than 0.2 Ra based on pre-burnishing surface finish) in the machined metal components both in ferrous and non-ferrous material. Very high repeatability in surface finish and dimensions can be easily achieved in a single pass. The minimum internal diameter burnishing range starts from 5 mm and above. Though there is no limitation on the maximum diameter, for practical purposes the company has limited the maximum tool diameter. There are customers using ID multi-roller burnishing tool of 412 mm. Alternatively for varying internal diameters “multi surface single roller carbide burnishing tool” can be used. Standard burnishing lengths are available to suit the regular applications. However tools with customised burnishing lengths can be manufactured according to the part requirement. The diameter of the tool can be adjusted to a limited range for the purpose of setting the diameter initially. The adjustment range varies depending upon the size of the tool. Tool holding shanks are available in Morse Taper (MT), Straight/Round, BT or any other as per the request. These tools can be mounted in CNC lathes, CNC machining centres, conventional lathes and drilling machines and in any spindle driven SPMs.
