The MicroStar is Thielenhaus's machine platform for flat finishing and flexible process combinations, such as bore grinding, taper grinding, honing and deburring. MicroStars have excellent cycle times and include patented technologies that allow for extremely consistent results. Applications are for highly productive finishing of the following components (among others): fuel injection needles and bodies, sensors, sealing seats, drive train gears and housings, etc. Concept: roundtable with up to 12 stations and machine column in centre; up to 11 machining units for flexible process combinations such as flat finishing, taper grinding, bore grinding, honing, brush-deburring, etc (honing units provided by Gehring); and loading/unloading of up to 4 parts parallel to main machining process.
