Bharat Fritz Werner offers a special purpose 3-station vertical boring machine for cylinder body machining. This CNC special purpose machine is designed to offer flexibility and mass production capability in machining variety of cylinder bodies. It can handle 40 different varieties of single cylinder blocks and cylinder liners. It performs semi finish and finish boring operations in varying bore diameter and length combinations. Due to the simultaneous operation sequences employed, the productivity achieved is more the 200%. The main features include: a single spindle semi finish-boring unit, a single spindle finish-boring unit, variable frequency spindle drive, cylindrical bore in spindle to accommodate Komet tool holders, CNC rotary table with 630 mm diameter, hydraulic fixture, automatic centralised lubrication system, coolant through tool facility, automatic job offset and tool withdrawal system, digital servo feed drive and, latest CBN tooling for sustained accuracy and enhanced tool life. The control system offered is Fanuc OM.
