Pitch control tapping machine

Auram Machine Tool Marketing and Services Ltd manufactures PT6, an automatic pitch controlled tapping machine. This is a production machine used for accurate and consistent thread quality. Automatic feed is given through lead screw and nut arrangement. Electronic control panel is used to initiate automatic spindle reversal for tapping application. Output devices are solid state; therefore there is not any mechanical movement or limitation on number of cycles per minute from controller side. Continuous reversal of the motor in tapping application causes heating of the spindle motor. Ultimately motor burns because of over heating. To avoid this, the thermisters are provided in the winding of the motor. The temperature of the winding is thus sensed. Electronic timer is provided for time adjustment between every reversal of the motor, which increases the life of the motor. Timer is adjustable within the range. Reset and inch facility is provided through the controller. Reset push button can be provided through foot switch (optional).
