Gun Drilling Machine

Conuco has developed a special purpose, rigid, CNC gun drilling machine with 2-4 drill heads to precisely drill several radial holes on components like pallet dies, dia 500/800, height 230 mm, and thickness 60 mm. The job is fixed on a CNC rotary table having CNC controlled vertical travel. Drill heads travel on precision linear guideway with individual AC servomotors for each axis. The numbers of axis vary from 4 to 6. The drill heads have ISO 30 taper spindle through tool coolant, 3 HP motors with VFD, spindle speeds programmable from 1000-7000 RPM infinitely variable depending on drill diameter. Standard gun drills 2.5-10 mm diameter, L/d=25, with tool life of 25-30 metres length per sharpening can be achieved. Complete machine with Fanuc control package, straight cutting oil dirty/clean tanks, micron filtration system, magnetic chip separator, oil chiller unit, and A/C for electrical cabinet from single source is available.
