Boring system with remote, digital readout

Smartbore is Rigibore"s micron-adjustable boring system with a remote, digital readout. The reader comprises an LCD display with a touchpad to change between metric/inch and radius/diameter readings. The system relies on low power radio to establish a link between the bar and the reader during the adjustment process. The data is transmitted across this link and displayed on the remote reader. Smartbore is not just a standard product, but quite innovative. All Smartbore tools are designed to suit a specific application which makes it a very flexible system. Tools can be designed to fit any machine spindle with up to 8 cutting edges on one tool for multiple bore machining. The reader is easy to use and only one is required for any amount of boring bars as it identifies the tool"s unique part number prior to adjustment. By using Smartbore one can obtain an accurate reading of the exact adjustment that have been made to one micron on radius or diameter.
