Ahmedabad-based Sterling Abrasives, an ISO 9002 company, in association with Carborundum Universal Ltd, supplies a range of speciality and special purpose wheels. The range includes: i) abrasive stones such as slip stones, finished sticks, dressing sticks used for sharpening and reconditioning and honing sticks required for auto ancillary and bearing industries; ii) Shellac bonding system -shellac bonded wheels renders the best finish required for the razor blade and hypodermic needle industries; iii) domestic flour mill wheels, with the controlled grain size and special bonding systems, facilitates smooth grinding of wheat without abrasive contamination; iv) 5A grains (Blue Wheels) and 3A grains (Orange Wheels) developed with white aluminium oxide grains, required in the bearing industry for the bore and or track and power transmission gears; and iv) polishing stones for the marble industry.
