Supercharger

Preusse Powertrain Innovations, situated in Germany, is into manufacturing of supercharger suitable for applications in passenger cars, sport utility vehicles, multi-utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles and heavy commercials such as city buses and trucks. These are available in three models MCS2001/200, MCS2001/300 and MCS2001/400. This unit features a compressor, high-speed gearbox and an electro-mechanical clutch. The centrifugal supercharger is driven by the belt from the pulley off the crankshaft of the engine, with a step-up gearbox to spin the output shaft up to 1,20,000 rpm. The gearbox is designed with high precision gears and special bearings for the smooth running. The design helps in eliminating heat generation, a major source of inefficiency.
