Amara Raja Batteries offers Spiral Cell Batteries, Optima. Targeted at high performance and demanding segments, it comes in three ranges-Red Top, Yellow Top and Blue Top. Available through the Amaron Pit Stops, it is manufactured by constructing a battery with spiral wound cells instead of traditional flat plates. It can be mounted in almost any position, can perform under extreme temperature conditions and are almost 15 times more resistant to vibration than conventional flooded batteries. Using high purity plates wound with a glass mat that absorbs electrolytes like a sponge, it is claimed to deliver extremely high power and low self-discharge.
