Smps Based Battery Charger

This is a user-settable battery charger which can charge batteries of various capacities and types like lead acid, sealed lead acid and maintenance-free batteries. Using this battery charger improves the life of the batteries and keeps them charged continuously. SMPS based battery charger can charge batteries having voltage of 12 V, 24 V, 30 V, 48 V, 110 V or as required. Float voltage range is 13-15 V, 2630 V, 32-36 V, 50-56 V, 112-120 V and boost voltage range is 14-18 V, 28-34 V, 36-40 V, 52-60 V, 115-130 V. It is available in current ratings of 20 Amp, 10 Amp or 5 Amp. The CVCC SMPS senses the battery charging current. If the battery charging current exceeds trickle charging setting of 1 Amp (Adj), then it goes to boost mode and charges the battery under constant current mode (current setting is adjustable by pot). When the set boost voltage is reached, the unit switches over to float and trickle charges the battery. Over 1,000 such battery chargers are said to be in use by Electricity Boards and major industries.
