Suvik Electronics offers a Float-Cum Boost Charger, RC 5000 Series. This series of float-cum-boost chargers are designed and manufactured in a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. The product is suitable for a variety of applications like EPABX systems, PLC systems, forklifts, plant automation, diesel generator sets, etc. Salient features: soft start output; no-delay change-over from mains to battery and battery to mains; automatic boost/trickle mode change-over; reverse polarity protection; built-in EMI/RFI filter for noise suppression; and suitable for EPBAX systems based on C-DOT, OKI, Jeumont Schneider, GTE and all international technologies. Technical specifications: input – mains – 230 V (1Ø)/415 V (3Ø) ±15%, 50 Hz ± 6% AC; battery – 45 to 600 V DC; output – load – 45 to 600 V DC; charger – boost mode – 1.2 times the battery voltage, float mode – 1.08 times the battery voltage; regulation – ±1.5 V; ripple – <100 mV (peak to peak) with battery; psophometric noise – <2 mV with battery, on speech load (800 Hz); overall efficiency – >70% under all conditions; visual indications – mains On, high/low input voltage cut-out, high/low charger voltage cut-out, battery boost/float mode battery low; and audio alarm – battery low and system failure. Optional features: facility for manual extended boost charging at 1.25 times the battery voltage, audio/visual alarm for – current change over to battery (on mains failure), overload tripping, custom-built panel design/displays and protections, colour scheme suitable to the exchange, any different output voltage or current as per customer’s requirement.
