Eximious Ventures Pvt Ltd offers a Battery Terminal Protector, BTP. The battery is an integral part of many a plant or system ? UPS, generators, cranes, forklift or vehicles have batteries. Wherever a large amount of current is required for a short duration, flooded batteries are used. Sulphation is a problem faced by many batteries, and the solution was applying grease. Heat and acid fumes take a toll on grease. When a large corporate approached with this problem, the company innovated and found the solution with the terminal protector. Under the scorching heat at 48?C in Bhopal, Crompton Greaves people were applying petroleum jelly to protect the battery terminals. The heat and acid fumes were melting the grease very fast. The cleaning and application frequency was every week. Still the batteries used to conk off and DG set will take time to start as batteries refused to cooperate. The ?small? problem was solved with a solution called as Elecstar BTP, a brushable jelly to be applied to the terminals, cable lug and exposed part of cable after the assembly.
