Welding Inverters

Welding inverters are electronic equipment, which convert electrical power from its 50 cycles/second frequency to higher frequencies 20,000 cycles/second, which is very common, before it steps down the voltage to lower and safer level and then rectifies and delivers as direct current (DC) for welding application. Premier Engineers, a sister concern of Elektroweld Automations India Pvt Ltd designs and manufactures inverters in India keeping Indian working conditions in mind. The range: 1. Minimaster-10 ? ideally suitable for maintenance and light duty applications. These are light weight economical to use and suitable for SMAW & GTAW applications; 2. Minimaster-8/Megamaster-400: heavy-duty equipment suitable for workshops, production units and construction sites. These equipments are available as constant current (CC) power source for SMAW and GTAW applications; and 3. Minimig-250, Megamig-400 & Megamig-600: inverters used for MIG/MAG application, which offers excellent arc charters tics with precise setting in voltage and current. These machines are constant voltage machines, ideally suitable for MIG/MAG application in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Application areas: Smaller inverters of approximately 150 A capacity which weigh around 10-12 kg, and run from 230 V AC supply are ideal for maintenance and light duty applications where machines can be carried and taken near the job; and Inverters of higher capacity of 400 A are meant for heavy-duty applications. Weight wise, these power sources are 50-60% less and power consumption wise around 45 to 50% less than conventional rectifiers at rated output.
