Rectifier Stack

Keltron Rectifiers has introduced a new range of cost effective rectifier stack, KBR300/KBR600. This new range of rectifier stack is designed using Keltron press fit type auto diodes connected in parallel and specially designed for welding and plating rectifiers. The 3-phase diode rectifier is capable of delivering continuously 600 A with forced air cooling. The individual diodes are rated 25 A and made following the automotive standard, capable of operating at 150oC. The overall dimension of this stack is only l50 x 150 x 400 mm, including the AC and DC bus bar terminations. These stacks have better cooling efficiency as the heat generating points are uniformly distributed. Because of their constructive design (small dimension), their low sensitivity against overload for short term and intermittent, and high temperature, the press fit diode rectifier stacks are specially qualified for application in electroplating rectifiers, welding rectifiers, power supplies, excitation circuit, battery charger, etc. This can be used in any type of rectifier stack combinations such as one pulse, two pulse with center tap, two-pulse bridge, three pulse center tap, six pulse bridge, etc. RC net work, varistors etc, are provided to protect the stack against over voltage surges due to thyristor controlled primary circuit/inductive load/welding application. The rectifier plate is further protected against over temperature by thermal cut out which gives a contact for alarm or activating the trip circuit. This rectifier bridge can take over load of 2.5 to 3 times output current.
