DC-DC Converters

Cosel, Japan, has introduced a wide range of DC/DC converters with inputs ranging from 4.5 V to 72 V DC as well as 88-370 V DC. The units have single or dual output with standard voltages from 5 to 30 V DC, externally adjustable via a trimming control. An input inhibiting control also permits shut down of the converter. Remote sensing is also available in higher power levels. Output powers range from 1.5 W to 100 W with maximum height of 7 mm up to 10 W, 8.5 mm up to 25 W and 12.7 mm up to 100 W handling. With master/slave configuration, these modules can handle 500 W. The converters are designed for operating temperature ranges of - 10?C to 71?C and vibration shock greater than 50 G for mobile, telecom and energy saving battery packs. The 50 W/100 W units, apart from 36-72/88-370 V DC ranges, operate with AC/ DC rectifier front end handling up to 750 W power with a 4/12"x 2' x 1/2"profile. These have safety approvals of UL 1950, IEC950/EN60950, CSA22.3, DENTORI/VDEO160 and CE markings.
