Converter

Selec Controls has introduced a reliable communications converter to connect disparate industrial systems over serial link. The converter can be used to connect any device with an RS-485 output with a device, which has a RS232 serial port. It can thus be used to interconnect devices like PCs, PLCs and other automation equipments. The RS232-485 converter is housed in a compact DIN-rail mounted module. The serial port supports asynchronous data rates of up to 115.2 kbps. The converter uses a 2-wire half duplex data transmission mode and has an isolation of 2 kV, ensuring un-interrupted, integral data transmission in various conditions. The device operates on 90-270 V AC/DC supply voltage.
