CATALYTIC CONVERTERS

Johnson Matthey offers Catalytic Converters. It is used for IC engines of 500 HP and above capacities used in gas compression, power generation, irrigation, pump jacks, standby equipment, etc. The quick-release clamps, removable band, and lock-ring retainer allow easy access for maintenance and replacement. No bolts, no gaskets are used. With its modular design one saves time, effort, every time access to the catalyst is needed. The Band-it stainless steel construction provides optimum protection from corrosive engine gases and atmospheric exposure. The metal monolith, which is a thin walled, stainless steel honeycomb-like support, is nearly impervious to damage from mechanical or thermal shock, optimising catalyst life. The lock-ring retainer holds the catalyst element secure while protecting it from mechanical wear. This combination-ensures even distribution of exhaust gases over the catalyst to maintain peak performance. The Band-it catalytic converter employs NSCR 3-way catalyst that reduces NOx, CO and HC emissions, or 2-way oxidation catalysts to reduce CO and HC emissions. The Band-it destroys up to 99% of these pollutants, converting them into environmentally safe nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water. Emission control products for stationary IC engines are also offered.
