Soluble Cutting Oil

Xado India Lubricants Pvt Ltd offers Xado range of premium quality multipurpose Soluble Cutting Oil blended from carefully selected mineral oil, emulsifier and other additives. This forms extremely stable milky emulsion of the ‘oil in water’ type. It has excellent rust-preventive properties, is inhibited against foaming, and is versatile product suitable for a wide range of metal cutting and grinding operations. It effectively removes heat from the workpiece. This oil has exceptionally high emulsion stability leading to excellent tool life and finish in all metal cutting operations, where cooling is more important and staining of the workpiece. It also contains a bactericide to help guard against the formation of objectionable odours.For general machining operations the emulsion is normally prepared with 5% oil and for grinding operation emulsion has 2% of oil. However, it is not recommended for machining of magnesium as fine chips of magnesium is a fire hazard when moistened with water. Soluble oils are prepared for use by mixing them with relatively large portions of water. Note: to achieve a stable emulsion, always add oil to water – never add water to oil.
