EDM Oils

Eastern Petroleum offers EDM Oil. This electrical discharge machining oil or fluid has been developed for most of the EDM applications. This highly refined mineral oil with low viscosity is free from aromatics and unsaturated hydrocarbons especially applicable for spark erosion metal working operations. It is colourless and odourless, which creates an atmosphere - conducive to excellence for users. By choosing this operator-friendly oil, which is neutral and pure, it can substantially reduce the chance of effects on skin of the operators. Lower viscosity improves flushing and fast particle settling and both of these contribute to faster machining rates and fine surface finishes. Also the low aromatic content eliminates smoking during machining and the higher flash point ensures safety of the environment. It has exceptional long service life due to stability towards thermal oxidation. Applications: dielectric fluid in finish-cut electrical discharge (spark erosion) machining operations; electrical discharge machining in tool and die shops and in manufacture of electronics, extrusions, aircraft components, hardware, tools, fasteners, silverware, cutlery, jewellery, appliances, valves and regulators; grinding fluid in glass grinding operations.
