Silicone Grease

G D Silicones India offers Silicone Grease, Alfa AL-57. This is a non-melting silicone material primarily used as a lubricant and release agent. It is a white translucent soft compound having resistance to moisture and chemicals. Typical properties: colour – white translucent; temperature range – -40°C to 230°C; evaporation – 24 hrs + 200°C max 5 %; and specific gravity at 25°C – 1.0. Applications: ideal release agent for rubber and plastic industry, it is also used as release agent of adhesives, foundry shell and core moulds; a single coating is adequate for several applications; excellent dielectric seal cum insulation for high voltage open cables and cable jointing in transformers; prevents ionisation, leakage and flashovers and its consequent damage, thus prevents maintenance shutdown. Advantages: not affected by mineral oils, vegetable oils or air; generally resistant to dilute acids and alkali and to most aqueous solution; and prevents ingress of moisture, dust in electrical systems in aircraft, ships, automobiles and instruments. Features: release agent, lubricant; reduces rejection; inert and colourless; and temperature -40°C to + 230°C. How to use: apply by brushing, wiping or automated equipments; and do not apply on surfaces to be painted.
