Rustgard

MTS offers RustGard, the latest in rust treatment technology. Researched and developed under the aegis of the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi, RustGard offers a long term solution to all rust problems. Conventional rust removers and rust preventers/inhibitors when applied on a surface only prevent free access of air thereby slowing down the rate at which a metal rusts. However, the entrapped moisture below the solvent surface continues the process of rusting therefore requiring frequent application leading to short life of appliances and equipments. RustGard which uses water as a medium penetrates the porous rust and reacts directly with rust to form an inert, organometallic complex and thus converts rust to a stable surface/reforming it. This not only eliminates all traces of rust on the surface but from within too! The metal thus treated does not require repeated treatment for rust prevention.
