VACUUM FILTERS

Veeraja Industries offers Vacuum Filters. It is available in range from 50 LPM to 6000 LPM, especially suitable for high finish machines like grinding, honing, gun drilling and component washing applications. The bottom of dirty coolant tank is made of perforated top vacuum chamber. Dirty coolant from the machine falls in the tank. A pump sucks the coolant through filter medium laid on top of vacuum chamber, leaving dirt on the filter medium. Pump suction generates vacuum, increasing dirt layer thickness and hence finer filtration. After preset level of vacuum is reached, it is broken temporarily by opening an actuated by-pass valve. The dirty filter medium is indexed out, to be replaced by fresh filter medium. The dirt falls in a bin while filter medium is wound on a mandrel. Advantages of vacuum filters: higher pressure differential - filter uses pump suction for filtration in addition to gravity head, which creates a pressure drop of 4 metres of fluid column, hence gathers more dirt layer to perform better than all types of gravity filters; finer filter medium can be used; lesser paper consumption - filter medium consumption is reduced to 20% of any gravity filter operating under similar conditions; energy saving - generally the filter uses only one pump to generate vacuum and delivery pressure, hence consumes much lesser power; can effectively handle viscous fluids; and reduces coolant carryover. Additional features - chain de-clogging arrangement, back washable mesh for courser filtration.
