Overband Magnetic Separator

For automatic and continuous separation of tramp iron, from the product, OBMS are used, installed from the top of the belt conveyor and kept parallel to it. These magnets can be suspended at the discharge end of the belt conveyor. The magnet system then removes all the tramp iron particles from the material flow passing underneath it. After leaving the magnetic zone these tramp iron fall into a collecting chute. The operational side of the magnet is protected by a wear resistance SS-304 plate. The separator is a automatic and self-cleaning system used for resource, recovery, re-cleaning reclaiming steel for resale and separating ferrous contaminations from other recyclable material such as aluminium, glass, plastic, crushed concrete or wood. Further, this type of iron recyclable system is frequently used to protect machinery such as crushers, cement plant quarries, pulp and paper mills, and in foundries to remove chills, spruces and gaggers from sand.
