Porostar is a woven wire cloth laminate. It is designed with 5-6 layers of individually woven stainless steel wire cloth layers closely bonded together by diffusion. It is a stable porous filter plate and predetermined characteristics in terms of pore-size, pore distribution, porosity and permeability.-Porostar opens up new areas of filtration and fluidising techniques, as they can be fabricated according to individual need. Haver & Boecker, Germany, manufactures Porostar in seamless sheets up to 1,200 x 1,200 mm and combine them into larger formats as required. Also Porostar can be supplied as filter cylinders and filter candles in dimensions and sizes according to customer's specifications.
