Filter Press, Horizontal

The Bombay Engg Works offers a Sparkler type horizontal filter press. This consists of a filter cartridge assembly having SS filter plates, support screen and interlock-ing cups fitted in the SS tank with pressure tight lid. It is provided with an air vent, pressure gauge and a suitable pump with IS1 make motor. The whole unit is mounted on a SS trolley fitted with fibre castor The liquid to be filtered is wheels for easy movement pumped to the tank where it enters into the individual plates. It passes through the filter media (paper/cloth) and crystal clear filtrate comes out through a central channel formed by interlocking cups. The cake formed between the plate can be obtained if required. Salient features: manufactured from SS 304/316/316L quality, argon arc welded and mirror polished; can be provided with different types of pumps depending on the viscosity of liquid and output; MS/SS jacket provided for hot filtration and cooling; provided with bypass system, safety valve and a sample collecting device; and, arrangement provided to remove the last drop of liquid from scavenger plate. The unit is used for crystal clear filtration in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, beverages, distil-lery, oil, ink, and other industries.
