Filter Presses

Filter presses are designed to separate solid and liquid in relatively short span of time by using the principle of pressure feeding. These presses are arranged in a series of filter plates & frames and recessed plates, there is a filter medium between these plates. Through the feeding pump the liquid is forced inside the filter press and the solid is trapped inside the medium between the plates. The solution coming through the filter press, called the filtrate, is very pure.
