Donaldson Company, a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, has announced the availability of the new and improved Donaldson TopSpin™ pre-cleaner. The improved TopSpin™ family is manufactured with a stronger, polypropylene material to withstand greater vibration, and the internal blade mechanism bearings have improved protection to extend bearing life. This will extend the life of the air filter and reduce overall operating costs. Ideal for agricultural and construction applications, the Donaldson TopSpin pre-cleaner separates up to 85 per cent of all incoming contaminants and more than 99 per cent of particulates 20 micron or larger. No matter what type of environment, the TopSpin Pre-Cleaner stops debris and chaff from entering the intake during harvesting to extend the life of the primary filter. It has the lowest restriction of any competitive brand tested, including the Donaldson full-view per-cleaner. Lower restriction allows the engine to "breathe" easier, reduces air filter usage, lowers per hour operating costs and will load more dust on the filter when serviced by restriction. This light-weight, self-cleaning/self-scavenging model can be mounted horizontally or vertically, requires no maintenance and is easy to install with only one clamp to tighten.
