Rosedale Products introduces the Model 8 indicating filter to its line of intelligent, mechanically actuated indicafing filters. This filter visually indicates when the filter bag needs changing; for liquid flows to 220 GPM. The integral indicator, which cannot clog or stick, also has optional electric or pneumatic output for smart signalling. The spring-loaded indicating device is calibrated to actuate at 15 PSI differential. To illustrate, at five PSID, over 90 per cent of a filter"s dirt-holding capacity has been reached. By the time it drops to ten PSID, it collects only an additional five per cent of total capacity. For each additional five PSI increment in pressure drop, the amount of dirt held decreases dramatically. After 15 PSI drop in pressure has been reached, no appreciable amount of din will be collected. These units will indicate exactly when to change the filter bag based on the drop in pressure, using each bag to its maximum capacity, reducing system downtime, saving time, money and effort.
