Compact Band Filter

Lex Technoaid offers Compact Band Filter, which is a non woven (paper) fabric band used as the filter media for the separation of the chips from the coolant / oil that is made to fall over it. The filter paper is stored as a roll on the unit and is pulled out by an endless chain belt on top of which the paper rests, after use of the front portion. As the name suggests, this design is more compact than a comparable capacity of an ordinary paper band filter and occupies less floor area. Also, this unit can retain taller column of coolant / oil that is to be filtered, which can apply more gravitational pressure to obtain finer filtration levels & better use of paper. This filter is extensively used on grinding / honing machines & also for filtering cast iron / aluminum chips from coolant on all types of machines, where coolant filtration is critical. Filtration levels of 5 to 50 microns are possible. There is NO CLEANING OF FILTER MEDIA NEEDED except change of filter paper roll after a long roll of it ends. The indexing ( linear movement ) of the used paper is done automatically & fresh paper is exposed. When the paper roll ends, an optional “paper end” signal can be provided to fix a new roll. Different sizes to suit various chip & coolant flow capacities are manufactured by LEX TECHNOAID. Special compact band filters are also made.
