Pennwalt India, with technology from the Sharples-Stokes division of Pennwalt Corpn, USA, offers the Super-D-Canter, a horizontal centrifuge. It is a specially developed solid bowl continuous horizontal centrifuge for effective separation of slurries into liquid and solid phase. It can handle a wide range of solid particles from 6 mm dia to a few microns and a slurry concentration varying from 0.5% to over 65% w/w. Typical applications are: animal blood, calcium carbonate, coal tailings, distillery stillage DMT, fish liquors, fruit juices and pulp, industrial effluent sludges, instant tea, insulin, nuclear effluent sludge, polymers, polystyrene, PTA, PVC, slop oil, sodium sulphate, titanium dioxide, etc.
