Filtek (India) offers Bypass Oil Filtration Systems. This works on cleaning the oil rather than changing it. Working: contaminated oil enters through the metering jet at a slow measured flow rate. The oil then passes through the replaceable filter element, where total base number (TBN) additives are replenished and the unbleached, CGP treated, long-strand cotton fibers, tightly compressed to resist channeling, remove contaminants down to less than one micron, while neutralizing acids and sulfur compounds. The filtered oil then enters the heated evaporation chamber, where fuel and water are evaporated and immediately vented. The clean oil is then gravity-fed back to the sump. The bypass oil filtration system does not affect the engine"s oil flow or pressure. It does not replace the conventional full-flow filtration system - it enhances and works in conjunction with it. Since these filtration systems are so efficient in keeping the oil within the engine or equipment continually clean, end users will typically receive the following benefits: safely eliminate oil drain; reduced frictional engine wear; reduced new oil purchases up to 90%; reduced oil- related maintenance cost; improved oil circulation; reduced engine down time; better-maintained oil viscosity; additive levels that remain well within acceptable limits; decreased sludge and varnish deposits; cooler running engines and/ or equipment; increased engine efficiency; payback typically in less than one year; and oil disposal problems eliminated.
