Oil Dipstick

The oil dipsticks the company offers are used for measuring the oil level in the oil reservoir, or engine sump. The design consists of an elongated rod that is often marked with minimum and maximum oil level marks, and inserted into a wiping member with whom it is in frictional contact, and thus does not dislodge itself under pressure generated inside the engine crankcase. Pulled out with the help of an 'eye' at the top, the dipstick indicates the level of oil in an engine sump, or a transmission. In case the level is found below, or at the minimum level, it will need to be topped up to the maximum mark. In case of frequent fall in oil level, indicated by the trace of oil on the dipstick, a reason for abnormal consumption of oil, or its quality, needs to be investigated, and the cause remedied.
