Valves, Y-Type Lead

R S Samant Engineers Pvt Ltd manufactures Y-type Lead Valves. These are basically globe valves of Y type configuration for easy operation and are suitable for handling sulphuric acid, for which they are an ideal choice. These valves are of heavy and sturdy design and are constructed out of special lead alloy containing 6% antimony and other alloying elements. The body and bonnet are constructed out of solid antimony lead alloy and other contact parts are lead bonded to suitable thickness to solve the problems of corrosion from sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, chromic acid, hydrofluoric acid, and their derivatives. There is no better metal than hard lead and hard lead 'Y` valves were developed after extensive study and research on the requirements of the chemical and processing industries. These Y valves are hydraulically tested to a pressure of 100 lbs PSI at ambient temperature. Each valve undergoes the most rigid tests and examinations before despatch. The company offers a choice of seating for these valves, including lead to lead seating, lead to Teflon seating and Teflon to Teflon seating. Advantages of Y lead valves: cheaper as compared to valves in SS 304, SS 316, Alloy-20; lead valves have much longer life as compared to SS 304 or 316 valves where sulphuric/phosphoric or other typical applications are concerned; lead valves have good salvage value, and are easy and economical to repair; and repairing at site also possible by trained labour.
