Schrader Duncan Limited, Fluid Power & Automation Business Unit, is one of India’s pioneers in the field of pneumatics and a leading manufacturer of wide range of fluid power products that include pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders, valves, FRLs, rotary actuators and pneumatic accessories. Valve automation is need of the process industry, which is integration of valves with rotary actuators, positioner, limit switches, indicators, etc. The valve could be butterfly valve or ball valve or plug valve. The butterfly valve range is from sizes 25 mm to 500 mm and Pn rating 2.5/40. Ball valves are of 150 Class to 600 Class, in sizes 25 mm to 200 mm. The materials of construction and seal will be as per requirement, depending on the medium.

Types of ball valves in the range are typical two-way, screwed end, socket weld, butt-weld etc. Three-way ball valves for diverter application can also be offered.  Butterfly valve varieties are wafer type, eccentric design, with different seat material options. Based on specific application requirements, the system can be integrated with positioner of pneumatic/electro pneumatic/smart type. Rotary actuator is key element of valve automation. The company ahs launched “MaxFlow” range of pneumatic rotary actuators. These actuators are available in spring return Single Acting as well as Double Acting models. Torque output range is from 4 Nm to 4000 Nm for 0° to 90° and operating pressure range from 1 to 8 bar. Torque selection should be based on fail safe close or fail safe open condition. These are compact design actuators with standard ISO 5211 mounting interface.
