VALVE TERMINALS

Festo Controls offers compact and versatile valve terminals, CPV Series, that provide users with convincing arguments like the world"s highest performance density, extremely compact design and minimal weight. Moreover, it can be used for vacuum generation as well, and has been made even smaller thanks to direct fieldbus connection. The detour via an additional vacuum generator is eliminated, because a vacuum valve can be integrated directly into the valve terminal. Various valve functions, electrical relay contacts, pressure zones and vacuum generation are thus made available as an integral part of the valve terminal. Short tubing connections increase the productivity of the vacuum application. Two variants are possible for sizes 10, 14 and 18 mm: vacuum valve with or without additional exhaust pulse. A vacuum holding function and an adjustable ejector pulse can be integrated as an option. With its four different connection modes - single plug, multi-pin, fieldbus and AS interface - the CP valve terminal is compatible with the most widely varied control systems. The company now offers the capability of direct, non-adapted connection to the fieldbus with "CPV Direct" for the following fieldbus systems: CPV Direct valve terminal with AS Interface; CPV Direct valve terminal with Interbus Loop; CPV Direct valve terminal with DeviceNet; CPV Direct valve terminal with CANopen; and CPV Direct valve terminal with PROFIBUS. CPV Direct can be implemented in three different sizes including the 10 mm micro with a flow rate of 400 1 per minute, the 14 mm mini with a flow rate of 800 1 per minute and the 18 mm midi with a flow rate of 1600 1 per minute (exception for the Midi: CPV Direct with Interbus Loop).
