Functions: multiple applications feeding device helps lock/determined the quantum of system air loss because of its precision components assembly, hence, called airlock valve. This equipment is also known as rotary vane feeder, star feeder, etc. The applications vary from ordinary volumetric feeder to a precise air locking device wherever the differential pressure varies. Airlocks are available in the size range of 150 mm to 500 mm, feeder range, (i.e., without airlock application), can be up to 900mm. Optimum revolutions are worked out on the basis of time required for vanes to cross the inlet opening. Different designs are available for specific application like blow through for pneumatic conveying and side entry and specific discharge designs for materials like polyester chips, nylons or any such material. Constructions: body is either cast from graded iron material or fabricated from steel plates, and rotor and end plates are fabricated from plates.
