Pressure Relief Valve

Amigo Sales Corporation offers a Pressure Relief Valve, Model AR65. The valve consists of a balanced piston relief cartridge valve in a body. The cartridge is used for continuous or intermittent duty and has a good pressure over ride characteristics. Typically this valve is most suited for systems where flow varies but the pressure needs to be relatively the same. Dynamic performance of the cartridge is excellent and the pressure overshoots are almost negligible. Operation: when the inlet pressure exceeds the setting of the valve, the pilot section opens, causing a small flow across the orifice in the main spool. The subsequent pressure drop moves the spool against a light spring opening a ring of radial holes in the sleeve, allowing relief flow to tank.
