Gate Valves, Cast Steel

NSSL Limited offers Cast Steel Gate Valves. Gate valves are the most commonly used shutoff valves in the industries. Gate valves are used where minimum pressure drop and bi-directional on-off service is required. Gate valves are not recommended for use for throttling service. Prolonged use in the partially open position is likely to damage seating surfaces. Gate valves are available with different wedge configurations to meet the specific service conditions. Normally gate valves are provided with flexible wedges unless otherwise asked for. These are also available with gearing or electric motor actuators. Normally gate valves are hand wheel operated up to 12" for Class 150 and 300, gear provision is made for valves from 14" and above for Class 150 and 300. Class 600 gate valves will be hand wheel operated up to 8" and gear operated from 10" and above. Electric/pneumatic actuators are provided on customer requirement. Description: flexible wedge; solid wedge; split wedge; double disc; outside screw and yoke; bolted bonnet design; flanged end; and welded end.
