Fuel Shut-Off Valves

KÜHME Armaturen GmbH offers Fuel Shut-Off Valves, KÜHME KSK. These have applications in thermal power plants - pulverised coal furnaces: main shut-off damper on the burner inlet or coal mill outlet. Specifications - medium: pulverised coal; temperature: up to 200ºC/390ºF; pressure: up to 10 bar/145 psi; valve: Kühme KSK; actuator: pneumatic or electric; and size: DN 150 to DN 800/6" to 32". These are also used for burner systems, which are used in: power plants; steel mills; oil refineries; chemical plants and other industrial plants. In thermal power plants, which base their 100% capacity on coal, there is an oil burning system for ignition of the pulverised coal furnace. Generally, burners are scanned by ultra-violet or infrared light, which senses presence of flame. If the flame goes out, scanner breaks contact of solenoid valve, activating fuel shut-off valve.
