Fuel Cut Off Valve

The Fuel Cut Off Valve mechanically senses lube oil pressure and correspondingly opens fuel port to fuel injection pump. If for any reason the lube oil pressure drops below the predetermined value the valve will shut off the diesel port thus shutting down the engine. In normal cases where engine does not have lube oil pressure problems the valve will open the diesel port as long as the oil gallery maintains pressure above predetermined valve after engine shut-down. It allows diesel to flow in to fuel injection pump thus avoiding starting problems like the need for priming the fuel piping. It also has a resetting arrangement for priming the fuel line if the engine has shut off due to Low oil Pressure. It is used on gas engines/ dual fuel engines; pump sets, concrete mixers, and AC drive units in buses, etc.
