Atos (Atos spa, Italy) is among the leading international manufacturers of electrohydraulic components; many millions of Atos valves operate today worldwide. Double valves of type QVMZO realise the proportional regulation both of flow and pressure in systems with fixed displacernent pump. When the pressure reaches the value set by the reference electronic signal Pr, the cartridge 2 operates to regulate the pressure according to the reference signal supplied to the pilot valve Pr. When the pressure value is under the set one, the cartridge 1 controls the flow at port A according to the electronic reference signal Q and the excess flow is discharged through port T. The cartridge 2 operates as pressure compensator in order to maintain constant the Ap between P and A and therefore the flow independently of the pressure levels. The pressure relief valve with manual setting 3 operates as safety valve. Three sizes are available: 20 = subplate attachment size ISO/Cetop 07 flow up to 170 1/min; 32 = subplate attachment size ISO/Cetop 08 flow up to 250 Umin; 40 = flange attachment SAE 3000 1-1/4"flow up to 500 1/min. Maximum pressure is 315 bar. The pilot proportional valves, Pr for pressure control and Q for flow control, must be fed by electronic drivers, which supply the proportional valve with correct modulated current signal to align the valve regulation to the reference signal to the electronic driver.
