Double Poppet Valve, 5/2

Schrader Duncan offers 5/2 double poppet valves, a unique range of valves, robust by design and used in wide range of applications. These are designed to give long and trouble free service under the most arduous conditions. High flow capacity, shorter switching distance give it faster response time and self-cleaning properties. This is due to the fact that as the poppet shifts away from the face, the entire annular area between the face and the poppet is available for airflow. The air flowing over the poppet seal carries with it any dust or dirt particles, thus cleaning the seal, making these suitable for use in dusty atmosphere and for high frequency operation. These valves can be operated up to a cycle time of 500 cycles/min. Long life of seals is achieved by metal to metal contact during traverse and metal to rubber contact for face sealing. The unique balanced poppet design ensures that the working is unaffected by variation in main line pressure. Poppet valves are available in two versions, i.e., 3/8” basic and 3/4” basic and are offered in port sizes of 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4” and 1” in sub base design. 3/8” basic range has a flow rate (Cv) of 2.04 and 3/4” basic has a flow rate (Cv) of 5.8. All sizes are available in single or double solenoid, hand lever or foot lever and single or double pilot actuation. Solenoid operated valves have manual override as standard feature. Hand lever and rocker type foot pedal operated poppet valves have two different lock in positions. These valves are available with different coil voltages. CMRS approved flame proof coils are also offered against specific requirement. These valves are ideal for actuation of air cylinders from 4” bore onwards. Gang manifolding is also offered with poppet valves with common inlet and exhaust port, which reduces piping work involved in interconnecting different valves.
