Directional Control Valves

Nachiketa Fluidics offers directional control valves which divert the passage of the fluid, or admit or block the passage of the fluid, in a pneumatic system. They are offered in 2, 3, 4 or 5-port configurations. A 2-port valve is used for shut-off or opening of a fluid line. A 3-port valve is used for operating a single acting cylinder. Four and 5-port valves are used for operating double-acting cylinders. Mainly, there are two types of directional control valves, viz, spool type and poppet type.The advantages of a spool type are fully pressure-balanced design, and self-cleaning due to the wiping action of seals. The poppet valve has the advantages of short stroke allowing fast response, and high flow capacity compared to its size. The valves are available with a selection of actuator and return mechanisms. The valves can be operated directly through a knob, hand lever, controller or remotely controlled by pilot pressure signals or electric signals (of the solenoid valves). They are available in G 1/16", 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4"and 1"sizes.
