Combined Pressure Reducing & Desuperheating Valves

In joint venture with Arca Regler of Germany, Forbes Marshall designs and manufactures a complete range of control valves, desuperheaters and stations for use in a wide variety of industrial applications. The Arca range of Combined Pressure Reducing & Desuperheating (PRDS) Valve are most suited for applications where the pressure and temperature of steam need to be reduced in one single valve. These are also available in sizes ranging from 25 NB through 400 NB. The water is sprayed inside the valve in the vena contracta zone through a nozzle at the bottom or through the valve stem. High turndowns are possible in this range of valves. Desuperheaters are available in fixed nozzle and variable nozzle designs. The variable nozzle desuperheaters have integrally mounted actuators and hence do not require any separate water control valve.
