Bellow Sealed Valves

Bellow sealed valves manufactured by Crescent Valves Mfg Co come with some unique features. Zero stem leakage: bellow is welded with valve spindle/plug at the lower side and stainless steel collar at the upper side. The stainless steel collar is held in between the body and bonnet male, female joints with the fasteners. Hence, all leakage ports through body, bonnet joints or glands are sealed to have absolute "zero leakage" bellow is in normal position when the valve is in a closed position and compressed when the valve is in an open position. The medium flowing through the valve is contained between the bellow and pressure envelope, preventing any escape to the atmosphere weld, using automatic MIG process. The bellows are made from 321 stainless steel. Tubes are seam welded and telescoped together. These constructions give greater strength with flexibility and an improved fatigue life. By avoiding the increased plant energy consumption caused by gland leaks, the plant operating cost can be greatly reduced, as one of the most frequent and serious value problem is gland leakage resulting in wastage of energy and increased plant down time. Apart from the high cost of energy losses, gland leakage can also present serious environmental, ecological and hazardous problems. Safety of plant and personnel: prevents dangers like leakage of poisonous gases, explosion and radiation. Also prevents polluting the environment. Leakage of sensitive materials can constitute a fire hazard and there could be the risk of harmful explosions. Maintenance of quality of fluids: there is no mixing with foreign matter from the exterior. Hence, the quality of high purity active and polymeric fluids is maintained. Maintenance free: no maintenance is required as there is no necessity of tightening and replacement of the gland packing. Range: valves are produced in a variety of materials, i.e., forged steel, cast steel, forged stainless steel, cast stainless steel, cast alloy-20, etc., in sizes 1/2" to 6" for pressure up to 80 bar and temperatures up to 450°C.
