Ball valves, high performance

Valtec Controls offers high performance ball valves, which are general-purpose soft-seated three-piece sandwich pattern valves. These promise high performance over a wide range of service conditions. These are reduced bore valves of three-piece sandwich construction with two body connectors forming the pipe to valve connections. The connector is available in screwed or socket weld ends. It contains the ball, PTFE body connectors, seal and steam assembly. The corrosion resistant ball is held between he body connector bolting. This ensures leak tight shut off in both directions under pressure or vacuum conditions. The stem assembly in corporate an anti-blow-out stem inserted from inside the body. The seal is effected by spring discs loading a PTFE stem seal positioned between shoulders on the stem and the body. The stem engages in a slot in the ball and so allows the ball to floats under pressure. The result is leak tight shut off over the full operation range. The product generally conforms to the requirement of BS: 5351, British standard for petroleum, petrochemical and allied industries. The valves are supplied complete with fitted wrench, which indicates if the valve is Open or Closed. These valves qualify to ANSI B 16.104 Class VI leakage as standard.
