Vacuum Pumps

KPSG Automotive India (Pierburg Pump Technology) is a subsidiary of KPSG AG, the parent company of Rheinmetall’s Automotive sector. The company manufactures vacuum pumps. Almost a necessity on vehicle with diesel or petrol engines, vacuum pumps generate the vacuum needed for boosting brake performance. They generate vacuum, which is also required for controlling servo systems and exhaust gas recirculation. KPSG has developed a single vane design that is most frequently used, and makes a highly cost-competitive version to address the vacuum needs. The pump features a rotary drive and is available in four different standard sizes ranging from 130 cubic metres to 260 cubic metres. Its low power intake is attributable to the design principle applied and reduces fuel consumption. In addition, the vacuum pump could be fitted with separate vacuum ports for brake boosters and servo devices. Robust and highly cost-efficient, the materials used for the single-vane vacuum pump are easily recyclable. The pump is ready for installation, with customer-specific vacuum port, oil tube for pressure lubrication directly via the camshaft plus, if necessary, an element for sealing the pump against the cylinder head. Depending on engine requirements, rotation is clockwise or counterclockwise.
