Odin, in collaboration with Ametek Inc, U.S.A., offers portable low cost dead weight tester that combines ruggedness, accuracy and portability. The tester is supplied with an accuracy certificate traceable directly to NIST, U.S.A., making it ideal for ISO 9000 aspirants. It is compact, completely self-contained with the entire tester including weights, contained in an attractive black anodized aluminium case. Other special features include: re-entrant type measuring piston and cylinder assembly maintaining accuracy as test pressures increase; rapid interchangeability of high and low pressure piston; special weight carrier with suspended weights lowering the centre of gravity and reducing side thrust on the measuring piston; interchangeable weights with replacement of damaged or lost weights being simple and economical; integrated screw pump with reservoir offering fast priming as well as positive adjustment; long floating time reducing re-adjustment during tests; and, transparent oil reservoir allowing visible test oil for finding out contamination
