Sludge Pumps

Delta Mechanical & Electrical Industries offers a range of Sludge Pumps, Model Delta DME-SUA. This is used in effluent treatment plants and for heavy settled sludge. It has 2-30 HP range with 4-pole continuous rated motor. The design allows the impeller to have wider flow to avoid any clogging and has agitator to stir settled soft sludge. Conventional design flaw: in conventional de-watering pumps design oil chamber is in between the pump and motor, which during an operation causes pump side seal damage first and then damage motor side seal and this causes even the motor to damage. New Delta design: in this design seal of motor and seal of pump are no longer connected by a common oil chamber, and this prevents damage of motor and hence reduces maintenance considerably. This also improves capability of dismantling pump and motor. Here the shaft is covered with SS sleeve to prevent shaft from damage. In spite of such design change performance characteristics remain the same.
