Portable Fire Fighting Pump

Mody Industries is a leading manufacturer and pioneer in the manufacture of submersible dewatering, non-clog sludge, sewage and non-submersible portable fire fighting pumps for use in various applications and duty points, with about five decades experience in the field. The company is ISO 9001-2000 certified and has ultra modern manufacturing plant, which is well equipped with all modern machines like CNC machines, digitally controlled dynamic balancing machines and digital performance testing facility. It offers a diesel engine driven portable fire fighting pump, Model DC6DE, as per IS-942:1982. The pump is mounted on extension shaft of Greaves/ELGI make single cylinder air cooled diesel engine, and is provided with an exhaust primer and ventury jet arrangement. The engine is mounted on anti vibration mounts to restrict the vibration to minimum possible extent. The pump outlet is 63 mm (2.5 inch) female instantaneous, the suction inlet is 80 mm (3 inch) (male round thread). Mechanical seal is fitted on engine shaft along with the pressure gauges and compound gauges. The whole pump set is mounted on tubular wrap frame with spring loaded handles. All the pump parts are in LM25 grade aluminium alloy conforming to IS: 617 grade 4450, except impeller, flap valve assembly and wearing rings which are in bronze conforming to IS: 318 grade LTB-I. All aluminium alloy parts are hardened and epoxy coated with aluminium alloy construction makes the pump light weight and hardened to provide high tensile strength. The pump has a capacity range of 275 LPM at 4.2 kg/sq.cm discharge pressure, 8.3 BHP version, and suction lift maximum 7 metres. It is provided with tungsten carbide/tungsten carbide mechanical seal mounted on shaft sleeve, and supplied with optional accessories like rubberised suction (75 mm) and delivery 65 mm) hose fitted with male and female gun metal quick action couplings at either ends, 75 mm gun metal strainer, basket strainer and tool kit, etc.
